Overview
You can update the credit card or payment method linked to your Magic Hour account at any time from My Plan. This is useful when your card expires, changes, or you want to use a different card for billing.
Prerequisites
An active Magic Hour account with a subscription or billing history
A valid credit card or supported payment method
Access to your account
Before You Begin
Magic Hour accepts all major credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, as well as alternate payment methods like Apple Pay, Google Pay, AliPay, and more depending on your region. Payment processing is handled securely through our payment provider Stripe.
Change Your Payment Method
Sign in to your Magic Hour account.
Go to My Plan — you can navigate there via the sidebar, or by clicking your profile avatar in the top right and selecting My Plan.
On either the Current Plan card or the Payment Method card, click the "..." (three-dot menu) in the top-right corner of that card.
Click "Update payment method".
The Stripe billing portal will open. There, add or update your payment method details.
Save your changes in the Stripe portal.
Expected result: Your payment method is updated. Your new payment method will be used for all future charges.
Your payment method is updated securely. Magic Hour doesn't store full card details — only your payment provider (Stripe) has access to sensitive information.
Verify the Change
Confirm your payment method updated successfully:
Go to My Plan.
Check that your new payment method is shown in the Payment Method section.
Look for a confirmation email confirming the update.
Your next charge will appear on your bank statement for the new payment method you added.

Troubleshooting
Issue | Cause | Solution |
Can't find the payment method option | The option is in the three-dot menu on the My Plan page | Go to My Plan, click the "..." on the Current Plan card or Payment Method card, and select Update payment method. |
Received "Invalid card" error | Card details entered incorrectly or card is expired/declined | Double-check the card number, expiration date, and CVV. Ensure your card is valid and hasn't expired. Try a different card if available. |
Payment method won't save | Technical issue or billing address mismatch | Verify all fields are filled correctly, especially the billing address. Try again. If it persists, contact [email protected]. |
My old card is still showing as active | Update didn't process or page didn't refresh | Refresh your browser and check My Plan again. If your old card still shows, try updating again or contact support. |
Charged after updating payment method | Charge was scheduled before the update | Any charges scheduled before your update will use the old card. Charges scheduled after the update use your new payment method. |
