Image Enhancer: step-by-step guide

Enhance a photo, with related workflows for upscaling, facial retouching, and skin detail.

Enhance a photo, with related workflows for upscaling, facial retouching, and skin detail.

Get the right result: check these first

  • Check the active tool tab. Image Enhancer opens Photo Enhancer. Photo, Upscale, Retouch, and Skin are separate choices; confirm which one you are using.

  • Choose the change you need. Check Mode and Resolution. Use AI Face Editor for expression or gaze controls, and AI Image Editor for a written instruction such as editing one named person.

  • Compare with the source. Review faces, text, and fine detail after enhancement. A sharper-looking result is not proof that missing original detail was recovered.

Step by step

  1. Open Image Enhancer and sign in. Upload the image.

  2. Use Photo for general enhancement. The neighboring Upscale, Retouch, and Skin tabs open the relevant specialized workflows.

  3. For photo enhancement, choose Subtle, Balanced, or Realistic and select an available Resolution.

  4. Review the estimate and select Generate Image.

  5. Compare the completed result with the source at full size, especially faces and skin, then download.

Choose the amount of change

Subtle applies lighter enhancement. Balanced applies moderate correction. Realistic is stronger. Start conservatively when preserving identity, texture, or product details matters.

Enhancement is not original-detail recovery

AI can generate details that were not visible in the source. Inspect skin, eyes, teeth, letters, and logos; a sharper-looking image is not necessarily a more faithful record.

Choose the right neighboring tool

Use AI Image Upscaler for a specific scale increase. Use AI Face Editor for expression or gaze controls, and AI Image Editor for a written change to an object or scene.
