Get the right result: check these first
Choose a usable replacement face. Use one person, facing the camera with eyes open and the face unobstructed. The replacement image is the new face, not the video you want to edit.
Only one person should change. Check Apply to before generating. Everyone uses the same replacement face; Specific faces lets you map replacements to detected people. Review the mappings rather than assuming the tool knows which person you meant.
Changing more than the face. Use Character Replace for a whole-character change. For Multi Face Swap, upload the video: YouTube input is not supported, and the start position is fixed in this mode.
Still stuck? Contact support with the tool name, project link or visible ID if available, Single/Everyone or Multi mode, face mappings, source type, and timestamp where the swap is missing or incorrect. Keep the project while it is reviewed. How to send useful troubleshooting details.
Choose the route
Use Free Video Face Swap for the simplified no-credit experience, or Face Swap Video editor for the signed-in, credit-based editor.
Swap a face in Create
Upload a supported video or use YouTube for Single Face Swap.
Upload a clear replacement image with one visible face.
Under Apply to, choose Everyone for one replacement face or Specific faces for individual-face mappings (Multi Face Swap).
For Multi, map an image to each detected face. Multi does not support YouTube input.
Review the displayed estimate and generate.
Use Face Swap and Lip Sync on the same video
The current Face Swap completion actions do not include a direct Lip Sync handoff. Complete and download the Face Swap result, then open Lip Sync editor and upload that video. Lip Sync also accepts YouTube or supplied presets, but those options do not automatically select the Face Swap result.
Run Face Swap first when the identity should change, then Lip Sync when the resulting face should follow new audio.
Support scope
Support can review a failed or technically broken project, but do not promise that support will manually create or edit a generation for the customer. Send the project link and diagnostic details for review.
