Generate a soundtrack for a video, such as sound effects, Foley, music, or dialogue.
Get the right result: check these first
This generates new sound. Upload the video that needs a soundtrack. It does not extract or recover the original audio recording. Use AI Music Generator to create a standalone song from text.
Too many frames. Follow the trim length in the error. The allowed duration depends on the detected frame rate, so the same number of seconds is not a universal limit for every file.
Prompt is optional. Use it to describe the audio you want, then listen to the completed result alongside the selected footage.
Still stuck? Contact support with the tool name, project link or visible ID if available, video selection, detected FPS if shown, audio prompt, and timestamp of the missing or mismatched sound. Keep the project while it is reviewed. How to send useful troubleshooting details.
Step by step
Open Video-to-Audio and sign in.
Add the Original Video and choose the section if trim controls appear.
Optionally describe the desired sounds in Prompt, including important actions and the atmosphere.
Review the selected clip and credit estimate, then select Generate Audio.
Listen to the completed output while checking the corresponding video events. Use the completed result’s download options.
A useful audio prompt
Example: “Footsteps on a wooden floor, a door creaking open, quiet room ambience, no music.” Tell the tool which sounds matter rather than assuming it can infer every off-screen event.
Do I get the original recording back?
Generated sound is a new interpretation of the scene. It does not recover a missing original recording or guarantee the exact words someone originally spoke.
The soundtrack is not aligned as expected
Confirm the selected source section, and note the timestamp and sound that are wrong. Use a clearer prompt for the intended event. For an existing recording that needs matching mouth movement, use Lip Sync.
