Why was my generation blocked or flagged by content moderation?

Understand moderation blocks, review the content rules, and request review of a possible false positive.

Why was my generation flagged or removed?

Generations can be flagged or removed when moderation detects a potential violation of our content guidelines. A flag alone does not prove that the content violates the rules; false positives can occur. Common reasons include:

  • Inappropriate Content: Explicit, NSFW, or sexually suggestive material

  • Hateful Imagery: Content promoting hate speech, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability)

  • Graphic Violence: Extreme violence, graphic injuries, or disturbing scenes

  • Illegal Activities: Content depicting or promoting illegal actions, including drug use or criminal behavior

  • Copyright & IP Infringement: Unauthorized use of copyrighted material such as movie characters or other protected IP. Note: using a celebrity's likeness without permission is a separate issue covered by right of publicity laws, not copyright—but it is equally prohibited on Magic Hour

  • Harassment: Content intended to threaten, intimidate, or bully others

False positives can occur. Do not switch models or modes to bypass a moderation decision. Review your prompt and source material against these guidelines. If you believe allowed content was blocked incorrectly, contact support with the tool route, visible error, approximate time and project link or ID if available. A human can review the case; do not assume a refund, restored credits or approval until the account or project record confirms it.
