Voice Changer: step-by-step guide

Transform an existing spoken recording into a different voice.

Transform an existing spoken recording into a different voice.

Get the right result: check these first

  • Do not reverse the audio roles. Input Audio is the speech to transform. Target Voice is how it should sound: choose Library Voices or Use My Voice and supply that voice reference.

  • Target voice required. In Use My Voice, add the target recording as well as the input audio. In Library Voices, select a voice. Both paths still need Input Audio.

  • Timing or words changed. Compare the full result with the original before using it in a timed video. The Speed control is not a guarantee of identical pauses, duration, or mixed-language wording. Report a mismatch rather than assuming another speed will fix it.

Step by step

  1. Open Voice Changer and sign in.

  2. Under Input Audio, upload the recording or record it after allowing microphone access.

  3. Under Target Voice, choose Library Voices or use Use My Voice to supply the target voice reference.

  4. Adjust Speed if needed and check both the input and target voice.

  5. Review the estimate and select Change Voice. Listen to the entire result before downloading.

Input audio and target voice have different roles

Input Audio is the performance you want changed. Target Voice identifies how it should sound. Reversing these inputs does not produce the intended conversion.

Changing versus cloning or generating

Use Voice Generator for a script in a library voice and Voice Cloner for a new script in a reference voice. Voice Changer starts from an existing audio performance.

The result sounds unclear or unnatural

Use a clear recording with one main speaker and limited background music. Check your selected target and speed. Conversion does not guarantee exact emotion, timing, or pronunciation. Use recordings and voices you have permission to use.

Cost, limits, and your result

These instructions cover the Dashboard. Sign in to generate and check the displayed credit estimate and access requirements. File limits and settings can depend on the tool, model, and plan. Follow the upload and validation messages shown for your selection.

Review the completed result before downloading. For signed-in projects, see find and download your creations.

If a job is still processing or failed

For a job still processing, check its status before submitting again. For a failed or technically broken output, see generation failures and credits.
