Past-due subscription: update payment and restore your plan

What Past Due means, how to update payment details, when plan access returns, and what to send support.

Written by Runbo (CEO of Magic Hour)

What Past Due means

Past Due means Magic Hour did not receive a successful subscription payment. My Plan displays the affected plan with a Past Due status and a payment message when available.

When a subscription is not active, paid access is removed unless the account has another active subscription.

Update your payment method

  1. Open /my-plan.

  2. Open the plan or payment-method menu.

  3. Select Update payment method.

  4. Complete the update in the secure billing portal.

Messages can include additional authentication required, insufficient funds, a bank decline, a transaction restriction, or a temporary processing error. Follow the message shown and contact the issuer when appropriate.

When the plan is restored

Updating payment details does not itself confirm payment. Magic Hour restores the paid plan after the invoice is successfully paid and the successful payment reaches the account.

Retry timing follows the billing schedule and should not be promised as a fixed number of hours. After payment succeeds, refresh My Plan or sign out and back in.

Paid invoice but Basic still appears

  1. Confirm the invoice or receipt says paid.

  2. Refresh My Plan.

  3. Sign out and back in.

  4. If the plan is still missing, contact support.

Send the account email, invoice or receipt ID, payment date, amount, currency, and screenshot. Never send a full card number.

Cancellation while Past Due

Canceling an active subscription normally schedules cancellation for the end of the billing period. Canceling a Past Due subscription ends it immediately.

Payment methods

Available methods depend on region and appear at checkout or in the billing portal. Apple Pay and Google Pay are payment wallets, not Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
