Overview
You can update your notification preferences and manage your account from a single settings page. Magic Hour uses email magic links and Google sign-in for authentication, so there's no password to manage—your account is secured through your email provider or Google account.
Prerequisites
A Magic Hour account (signed in via Google or email magic link)
Access to the email address linked to your account (for notifications)
Access Your Account Settings
There are two ways to reach your account settings:
Via the Settings Menu
Look for the gear icon (Settings) in the left sidebar.
Click Settings.
You'll be taken to your account settings page.
Via Your User Avatar
Click your user avatar in the top-right corner of the page.
Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
Manage Notification Preferences
Magic Hour sends notifications when your videos are ready or if there's an error during generation. You can configure how you receive these alerts.
Navigate to your settings page (see above).
Scroll to the Notifications section at the top of the page.
Toggle your notification preferences on or off based on your preference.
Changes save automatically.
Notifications alert you when your video generations complete or encounter errors. Keep these enabled to stay updated on job status, especially if you're generating multiple videos at once.
About Your Authentication
Email Magic Links
If you signed up with an email address, you can sign in using a magic link sent to your inbox. There's no password to manage.
To sign in: Enter your email at the sign-in page, and we'll send you a link. Click the link to access your account.
Link expiration: Magic links expire after a set time. If your link expires, request a new one from the sign-in page.
Email delivery issues: Check your spam or promotions folder if you don't receive the link.
Google Sign-In
If you use Google to sign in, your account is secured by your Google account.
To sign in: Click Sign in with Google, authorize Magic Hour, and you'll be logged in.
To change your email or password: Manage your Google account settings directly at myaccount.google.com. Magic Hour will use your updated Google information on next sign-in.
Two-factor authentication: Enable 2FA on your Google account for additional security.
Magic Hour doesn't store your password. Authentication is handled entirely by Google or email, so you stay in control of your login credentials.
Delete Your Account
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your project history and account data will be deleted immediately. This action cannot be reversed.
If you're sure you want to delete your account:
Navigate to your settings page.
Scroll to the Delete Account section at the bottom.
Click the Delete Account button.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account and all associated data will be removed.
Before deleting your account, consider downloading or exporting any videos or projects you want to keep. Once deleted, this data is lost forever.
Change Your Email Address
To change the email address associated with your Magic Hour account:
If You Use Email Magic Links
Email changes require support assistance. Contact us and we'll help you update your email address.
If You Use Google Sign-In
Update your primary email address in your Google account at myaccount.google.com. Magic Hour will use your new Google email on your next sign-in.
Billing and Plan Management
Account settings only cover notifications and account deletion. To manage your subscription, payment method, or plan:
Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
Select My Plan.
From there, you can view your current plan, purchase credits, update your payment method, and manage your subscription.

Troubleshooting
I'm Not Receiving Notification Emails
Likely cause: Your email provider is filtering our emails as spam, or notifications are disabled.
Check your spam and promotions folders.
Verify notifications are enabled in your settings.
Add [email protected] to your email contacts to improve delivery.
If the issue persists, contact support.
I Can't Find the Settings Page
Likely cause: You're not signed in, or the page is in a different location on mobile.
Make sure you're signed in to Magic Hour.
On mobile, the settings icon may be in a menu (hamburger icon) rather than the sidebar.
Try accessing settings directly via https://magichour.ai/settings (if you're signed in).
I Received an Email Magic Link But It Didn't Work
Likely cause: The link expired or was copied incorrectly.
Magic links expire after a set period. Request a new one from the sign-in page.
Make sure you clicked the full link in your email, not a shortened version.
Check that you're using the same email address you used to request the link.
I Want to Change My Email But I'm Stuck
Solution: Email changes vary depending on your sign-in method.
Google sign-in: Update your email at myaccount.google.com, and it will update in Magic Hour automatically.
Email magic link: Contact support with your current email, and we'll update it for you.
