Overview
Magic Hour uses credits to measure how much you can create across all tools. Credits give you flexibility: use them on any workflow (image, video, audio), at your own pace. You can start free, then scale up when you need more volume, higher export quality, or commercial rights.
What Are Credits?
Credits are the unit of consumption for Magic Hour tools. Each image generated, video created, upscale performed, or audio minute generated costs a certain number of credits. Costs vary by tool and output.
Think of credits like a budget you can allocate across tools based on your workflow.
How Credits Work
Free credits (daily)
New accounts start with 400 one-time credits
Each day you visit the Create page, you can claim +100 free credits, regardless of plan
Monthly allowance (paid plans)
Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance
Credits replenish at the beginning of each billing period and never expire
Rollover (no expiration)
Unused credits roll over month to month with no expiration

What Happens When You Run Out?
If you run out of credits:
Paid plans: wait for your next billing cycle and your allowance replenishes
Any plan: purchase a credit pack to top up immediately
Free plan: claim daily credits by visiting the Create page
Using Credits Efficiently
Start small: test prompts/settings on short runs before scaling to long videos or big batches
Spend video credits intentionally: use video tools for hero assets, then reuse with lighter edits (subtitles, variants) to stretch value
Use rollover as a buffer: bank credits during light months, then spend during launches or campaigns
Plan Selection Guide
Choose Basic (Free) if you:
Want to test the product with starter credits and daily claims
Are okay with watermark, 576px export quality, and limited video tool access
Choose Creator if you:
Want watermark-free exports, 1024px quality, commercial use, and more volume
Choose Pro if you:
Need higher quality (1472px), more volume, and priority support for ongoing work
Choose Business if you:
Need 4K (select modes), large uploads, and the most credits (teams and agencies)
Billing, Cancellations, Downgrades
Cancel anytime from My Plan; your subscription ends at the end of the billing cycle and you won’t be charged again
If you downgrade, you keep your existing credits; your allowance updates at the start of the next billing cycle
Pricing excludes tax; if tax applies, it’s added at checkout or invoices
Payment methods
Credit/debit cards and multiple local payment methods are supported. PayPal is not supported.
Ownership and Commercial Use
You retain ownership of assets you generate
Commercial use is included for paid users; free users are limited to personal, non-commercial use
Privacy
Your assets are private to your account
You can delete generated assets
Uploaded assets are deleted within one week
Refunds
A one-time refund is available if:
The purchase was within the past 7 days, and
Fewer than 500 credits from the purchased plan were used (free sign-up credits don’t count toward the limit)
API and Enterprise Use
Using your plan via API
You can use your plan for API access, with the same tier features and usage levels.
Usage-based API pricing
If you want pay-as-you-go, usage-based billing is available with automatic volume discounts. The per-1,000-credit rate decreases as monthly usage increases, and higher-resolution tiers cost more per 1,000 credits.
Troubleshooting Credits
I ran out of credits. What now?
Claim daily free credits (free plan), buy a credit pack, or wait for your next billing cycle.
Do credits roll over?
Yes. Unused credits roll over with no expiration.
When do paid credits replenish?
At the beginning of each billing period. Check My Plan for your next invoice date.
